Blueberries

What do we know about blueberries other than that they are berries and great for on it’s own, with breakfast cereals and baking?

For starters, they are perennials, which means they are available all year and are part of the same family as cranberries, bilberries & huckleberries.

Fresh or frozen? Fresh as they say is best, however if frozen for up to 6 months, they appear to keep the majority of the goodness in them.

Do they really help to lower blood pressure, have anti cancer and diabetes qualities seeing as they have antioxidants & anti inflammatory properties?
